NSAL DULUTH/TWO HARBORS/SILVER BAY ART POD MEETING - MAY 2025
Saturday, May 31, 2025 - 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
"Plein Air" at Tettegouche State Park
Highway 61, 4 miles north of Silver Bay, Minnesota
The North Shore Artists League Duluth/Two Harbors/Silver Bay Art Pod welcomes you to experience:
“En Plein Air” is a French term meaning “in the open air” and is used to describe art created out in nature rather than in a studio setting. Usually it means to paint, but for our art pod day together it can also mean creating art using pastels; watercolor; graphite or charcoal sketching; photography; writing…or even using Procreate on an ipad! Whatever you want to use to artistically capture nature around you. Just come and give it a try!
Although the park is open to visitors, Tettegouche State Park has graciously invited us to do our art wherever we choose on site. The park offers a wide variety of beautiful vistas, trails, decks and easy access to the Lake, so dress warm (lake breezes can be cool); bring your favorite art supplies; and perhaps a little stool to sit on, and come and join us for a delightful day outdoors.
We will plan a break during the day to gather together over some snacks and share our discoveries. The park will make their gathering room available to us if we need to get out of the weather.
Not sure you want to create in public? You can always watch, wander and enjoy nature. Let’s have an amazing day together! Please register so we have a count for snacks.
The Duluth/Two Harbors/Silver Bay Art Pod is open to everyone, even if it’s not your home pod.
We hope to see you there!
