Description
I often listen to jazz when I'm in my studio. This quilt is part pf a series that remind me of that music.
My quilts are organic. starting with a concept or sketch and color selection. Cotton fabrics are individually hand cut with a rotary cutter and machine-pieced. Quilt designs emerge as I try out fabrics and compositions. This quilt uses a technique called strip-piecing. It was quilted on a long-arm machine with dense, organic stitching in green thread. There is a rod pocket on the back for hanging with a curtain rod. Created in 2019.
